Give someone a year of reading, conversation and good company at The Athenaeum.

How it works

  • Choose a level, then tell us who the membership is for.
  • Within a few business days, we’ll welcome them by email and mail their library card and New Member Guide, with a note that the membership is a gift from you.
  • You’ll get a receipt and a thank-you from us.

A gift of Shareholder dues is for someone who already owns a Share. To give a new Share, contact [email protected] or 215-925-2688.

Gift memberships are not tax-deductible, because they come with member benefits. They also cannot be paid with a donor-advised fund (DAF) grant or an IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD).
